What We Believe

If you read the following list and think ‘Yes, this is how I see the world!’ then welcome. You’ve found the right place.

• God is alive and loves us.

• Evil exists, but there’s beauty and goodness too. 

• Right and wrong, good and evil, the two sides fight constantly.

• Tyranny comes in many shapes.

• We aim for dignity, but we’re only human.

• Sometimes we need heroism, but we’re only human and sometimes we’re scared.

• Sin is real and corrodes. 

• The truth sets you free.

• Justice will be done.

• People can be redeemed.

• Sometimes only violence works, but we use it reluctantly, and repent.

• Forgiveness beats vengeance.

• We have compassion for the underdog, the weak and the vulnerable.

• We have compassion for the people who go wrong as well as for their victims.

• Children are precious, the fountain of new life, and we must protect them.

• We have fun, too. We look for humour, and we love people who swagger a little.

• We sense a greater world beyond this one.
